The most important characteristics of the schools’ culture, instructional design, and educational methodologies:

Dev Gate schools maintain a culture that promotes trust, respect, and responsibility. Students and teachers have exceptional ownership of the learning experience and their school environment. Working on projects and in teams, students are accountable to their peers and acquire a level of responsibility similar to what they would experience in a professional work environment. The school will demonstrate high levels of student engagement and continued growth along several measures of academic progress.

Any school under our management will focus on interdisciplinary, project-based learning using STEAM approach with a focus on science, technology, Art, and Mathematics using the engineering design process. The engineering design process will provide the over-arching theme of the school.  According to the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), “Engineering design, by its very nature, is a pedagogical strategy that promotes learning across disciplines”. STEAM is a philosophy grounded first and foremost in the solution of problems from a multi-faceted and inter-disciplinary perspective. However, it should not just cater to the science, technology, engineering, or math aspects of a student’s education. A well-thought out STEM-based approach to education includes the integration of all subject matter that may be brought to bear on problems, such as; environmental, social, regulatory, legal, institutional, political, and economic aspects. This is how engineers solve problems large and small every day, and for this reason engineering concept and its study is an important part of any STEM program.

Our schools represent a standard innovative learning environment, based on project-based learning approach which will engage students with dynamic, rigorous curriculum, and will allow the school to be connected with all and other schools in Egypt and outside Egypt in the future.
